How do we organise training for your organisation? All you need to do is to contact Epoc Careers & Training with an idea of what you are looking for. If possible, I would like to discuss your requirements with you. We would then agree convenient dates for the course(s).
-
How many delegates can attend a course? This depends on the course. Most of the courses are designed for 10 or 12 delegates. Epoc Careers & Training runs larger events from 20 to over 300 delegates. I also run courses for fewer than 4 delegates. These can be surprisingly good value for money.
-
Will the delegates have to do preparation before attending a course? This depends on the course. I recommend pre-course work for some courses to help the delegates get the maximum benefit from the course. We can discuss and agree it with you in advance.
-
Do you give any feedback after a course?Yes. If you would like, the trainer will hand out evaluation forms at the end of the course. If you would like, the trainer will also discuss the feedback with you.
-
Do you have training rooms to hire?We do not have training rooms to hire, but can source them. The room would be an extra cost on top of the daily rate.
-
What is the average length of a training course? This depends on the level and depth of the subject matter. The majority of the on-line training sessions are 90 minutes to 3 hours. The majority of the in-person courses are one or two-days in length, I also run shorter ‘Bite-Size’ sessions, which last between 90 minutes and 3 hours.
-
When can the Bite-Size sessions be run?The Bite-Size sessions can be run during morning, lunchtime or evening. They last between 90 minutes and 3 hours. I can deliver up to three Bite-Size sessions in a day.
-
What are the timings of an average day’s training?Epoc Careers & Training is very flexible with timings of courses. Most of our clients ask us to run course from 9:30am to 4:30pm, with a 45 minute break at lunchtime. These timings can be changed to suit your requirements.
-
What is your approach to learning?I (Frances Scott of Epoc Careers & Training) have been involved in helping and supporting individuals, and organisations, to learn and develop for many years. My approach is based on 'people learn by doing'. I am passionate about HOW you learn and ensure my training courses are highly interactive, practical and above all enjoyable.
-
What makes Epoc different? When you buy a course, you don’t just buy a manual and a list of tips and techniques, you also get a brilliant trainer! I feel passionately that it is my training skills, style, enthusiasm and experience that lift my courses above the rest.
-
What is the dress code?I usually recommend smart/casual. Please let me know if you would prefer a different dress code.
-
Do you run courses throughout the UK and internationally?Yes. I work all over the UK and have delivered courses in many countries including: France, Germany, Greece, Singapore and Ireland. For travelling abroad, there would be the added cost of the trainer’s reasonable expenses, such as flights and accommodation.
-
What are your cancellation terms and conditions? The Client may cancel or postpone the assignment, in writing, at any time. In this eventuality, Epoc Careers & Training reserves the right to apply the following scale of charges: Cancellation - notice period: 30 days or more - no charge 15-29 days - 50% of price 0-14 days - 100% of price Postponement - notice period: 30 days or more - no charge 15-29 days - 25% of price 0-14 days - 50% of price In all cases, any disbursements already incurred will be charged.
-
Does Epoc require payment before a course?Generally, we do not require payment in advance. However, for a large programme, we prefer to receive at least 20% of the total costs before the start of the programme.
-
Do you run generic courses aimed at people from multiple companies?I do not run training courses for people from different companies to attend. However, I do run courses consisting of one or two delegates. This enables us to move at the pace of the delegates (as fast or slow as necessary; as deep into the subject as appropriate, and with as much development as possible). These are not as expensive as you might think!
-
Can we meet the trainer before booking a course?Yes. This can be done in person or on-line via Zoom. I recommend that the most effective training happens when the trainer has met with the person organising the training in order to obtain a more detailed brief.
